880071 - If the search bar is in the Australix Settings dialog, the dialog closes when you try to change search engines

I customized the latest UX build so that the search bar is located within the Settings button's (the "Customize and Control UX" button) doorhanger/dialog thing. If I click on the search engine logo within the search bar (to change the selected engine), focus goes to the list of search engines, causing the Settings dialog to lose focus, making the Settings dialog become hidden.

Since it's located within the Settings dialog, I'd have expected the dialog to stay open, since it's currently a direct parent of the search bar.

The list of search engines DOES stay open, though, so I can still change the search engine like I wanted to. It just looks weird having that list floating over the webcontent unattached to anything else.
