To clarify the interaction for attachment 761540 [details]: 

An arrow indicates overflow text in either direction and tapping the arrow would scroll the contents to reveal the overflow text.  Alternatively, the user could also drag on the auto-correct bar to scroll the contents.

Francis, I know you've done alot of work with the keyboard in the past, do you know if this bug is still relevant?  If it is let me know and we'll try to get it implemented for 1.2. Thanks!

Hi Eric, I don't think this is relevant anymore, as it was decided that a better approach would be to reduce the font size to fit the suggestions within the autocorrect bar.
