Load this XML file into a browser window. It fails to load, leaving the browser window displaying whatever was there before. Now try to resize the window; the content area fails to resize, leaving the scrollbars (if any) in their previous location. Weird.

I have a bug open on some XHTML files failing to display properly, but they contained form elements... This one has nothing special in it (or maybe Mac linefeeds?) Seeing on Win2k as well.
OS: Mac System 8.5 → All
Priority: -- → P2
Hardware: Macintosh → All
Target Milestone: --- → mozilla0.9.3
I tried with all types of linebreaks, and they all behave the same way. So it's not a linebreaks issue.
You will see same effect if you have an XML document with root element being XHTML script, but that might be another bug (the script doesn't even work, which is a bug on my plate). hyatt: Can this bug be fallout from your paint suppression work?
Ah, found the cause. When dynamic style handling was introduced by peterv he also broke things for xml processing instructions that are not xml-stylesheet PI's. You reported this bug first, but since the other one has correct summary I'll mark this as the dupe. I also have a fix. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 88354 ***
