Music app doesn't display AAC file with .aac extension .I used 1.1 latest gecko/gaia build .

I just converted one MP3 file into AAC file and gaia music app doesn't show this file in music app song list. I attached music file which I tested.

I just converted MP3 file into AAC file . This file has AAC extension. This is raw AAC format . Do we support this extension in music app ?

We don't support raw AAC. That was a deliberate decision.

For current Music app, we don't display unplayble files on the ui so that users won't have a chance to play it, this is for a better UX I think.

And I tried to change the extension of attachment 762410 [details] from *.aac to *.3gp/*.mp4, both of them shows up in Music app, and that file contains no metadata so you should be able to find it in "Unknown album" or "Unknown artist".

Sounds like this is expected behavior that raw AAC isn't supported. Removing leo nomination, as we now know this isn't a regression from what we expect to work.
