There is a quite a bit of whitespace using up horizontal space in the navbar that could be better utilized by the urlbar. In particular the four nav buttons are much too widely spaced. The throbber could be shifted over to the left a fair bit, and there is some wasted space to the left and right of the urlbar inside the groove. This was a problem before yesterday, but the modern3 tweaks that hewitt landed last night appear to have made the problem worse (at least for the four nav buttons). I run with all the buttons in the navigator pref panel turned off, fwiw.
Typo - throbber should be shifted right, not left.
I would even vote to removing a little of the vertical whitespace, too, if possible. In NS 4.x, there was at least an option to use small icons or text only in the navbar.
Common, can we get only 1 bug for complaining on the new modern theme? I have marked my bug dup of bug 88279 Please close this one and go there

I dont think that would be right... Each bug with the new modern landing needs to be dealt with seperately...
We need that space to make room for the drop-down arrow.
