Details
Reproducible on Firefox 23 beta 1 (BuildID: 20130625125232):
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.8; rv:23.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/23.0
Steps to reproduce:
1. Start Firefox with Profile Manager (in the Terminal, enter the following: Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin -p)
2. Click "Create Profile".
3. Click "Next" and enter the name of the profile.
4. Click "Done".
Expected results:
The new profile appears in the list.
Actual results:
The new profile doesn't appear in the list.
Notes:
1. This issue is reproducible with a clean Mac OS X 10.8 install and it's intermittent, so I cannot find a reliable regression range.
2. I'll investigate tomorrow with the other builds and post the results.

Does this happen when performing those steps with an existing profile already created?

Reproducible on Nightly 25.0a1 (Build ID: 20130626031100): Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.8; rv:25.0) Gecko/20130626 Firefox/25.0
Reproducible on Aurora 24.0a2 (Build ID: 20130626004017): Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.8; rv:24.0) Gecko/20130626 Firefox/24.0
Notes:
1. After step 4 from comment 0, click Exit button and perform the step 1; now, the previously created profile appears.
2. When the profile folder is changed, this issue is not reproducible and, afterwards, all the new created profiles appear in the list.
3. The "default" profile is not present in any of the builds when the Profile Manager is opened for the first time. Should I log another bug with this issue? Based on bug 214675, is there any chance that changes were made and the tracking bug wasn't updated?

Alex, I believe that the answer to the question in comment #1 is yes based on your comment #2 but I would like confirmation. Thanks

Yes, I confirm that this issue is reproducible with a profile already created.

Is this a regression, i.e. works when using version prior to 23?

I couldn't reproduce this issue with Firefox 22 nor 23 on a clean Mac OS X 10.8 install: the new profile appears in the list;
The only issue still present is the one from comment 2, note 3: the "default" profile is not present in the Profile Manager.
