User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686 on x86_64; rv:22.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/22.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20130618035212
Steps to reproduce:
1. Update firefox after extracting the firefox-22.0.tar.bz2
Firefox 21 icon exists in dock. Updating to firefox 22, surely does update firefox, but along with the existing Firefox 21 icon, the firefox 22 ends up as a blank icon.
Actual results:
No updated firefox icon / new firefox icon on the dock to the right
Expected results:
1. The old firefox app icon should invoke firefox 22.
2. In case it doesn't replace Firefox21, it should atleast create a new icon successfully, instead of leaving a blank app icon.
Screenshot attached: Notice the blank app icon in dock. Clicking that blank region starts firefox 22

UPDATE: $ sudo apt-get update
Updating all files fixes the issue and replaces the previous version.
