Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:22.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/22.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20130620135945 Expected results: There's a wonderful add-on called "Lazarus form recovery". What it basically does -- it recovers forms you fill. So, you can right-click on a field and choose either to fill this field with some version of text you typed, or to recover whole form. It's quite intelligent in terms of not saving passwords or card numbers. But, it has couple problems: 1. you tell people to install it *AFTER* they search for a solution about how to restore their form they've been filling for long time 2. it's proprietary 3. author seems to abandon it a bit, at least that version on addons.mozilla.org is old (2.3), and new version from website (3.2) doesn't work with recent firefox. I think functionality like that deserves to be somewhere in core of firefox, e.g. be present by default and everywhere, so that people will be able to recover their forms, just as modern editors and email-clients do auto-save, you get confident that long form you fill won't get lost. What do you think? Thanks!
