From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.2) Gecko/20010628 BuildID: 2001062823 Both the bookmarks component in the sidebar and the filebrowser are tree components, they should have a consistent look and feel. Unfortunately the look and feel differs in numerous ways: Opening a folder requires a single click on a triangle in the file browser and a double click in the bookmarks browser. Double clicks in the file browser are interpreted as two clicks, leaving the user with a closed folder. The "folder" icons are different. Single click on the folder name opens the folder in bookmarks but not in the file browser.
not sure i support this.

I have a patch to make file use html, but it has major issues, and so won't be checked in for some time, I suspect. ccing ben for comment.
the double-click in sidebar's bookmarks is fixed on the trunk. (bug 71768)

um. think carefully, there were multiple 'issues' reported here (note to reporter: don't do that, it leads to bugs which can't be properly resolved). hrm, i'll let claudius verify
I suspect there is only one bug: Mozilla includes two implementations of a tree control. This is what I ment when I reported the bug and it also is what Bradley's first comment seems to suggest. However, I am not a Mozilla develper so I don't have the technical expertise to make such a statement in the bugreport summary. The look and feel differences I reported are just the user visible effects of the bug. If there have to be two implementations of a tree control for technical reasons, their UIs should be absolutely equivalent. They are not, even after 71768 is fixed. At least the "different folder icons" problem is remaining. Claudius, please consider reopening.
mass verification of duplicate bugs: to find all bugspam pertaining to this, set your search string to "DuplicateBugsBelongInZahadum". if you think this particular bug is *not* a duplicate, please provide a compelling reason, as well as check a recent *trunk* build (on the appropriate platform[s]), before reopening.
