This is in 1.0.1 prerelease; this doesn't work in browser until 1.1 ( bug 871485 ) and should have a change in the user agent for 1.0.1

If spoofing as iPhone, the site requests that you download an app to view the video. If not, it serves Flash. Here's their "video player" markup for iPhone UA: <div style="width: 260px; margin: 20px auto;"> <div> Please <a href="https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/crunchyroll/id329913454" style="color:#Ff8800">download the Crunchyroll app</a> to view this video. </div> <div style="margin-top: 30px;"> If you already have the latest app, <a href="crunchyroll://playmedia/617555" style="color:#Ff8800">click here to watch this video</a>! </div> </div>

We can contact them to suggest that they re-think their approach and add non-Flash video to their website. This is probably a bit of an undertaking though.

also, crunchyroll doesn't forward FirefoxOS to m.crunchyroll by default. I guess the other problems need fixing first, though.

To add, Android browsers both recommend the Android app as well.

Let's close it. Rationale: they seem to be only interested by flash/app Web development. They do not propose a Web version of their videos. Reopen if there is an interop issue with other devices working in HTML only.
