89222 - Send button in toolbar should have popup (send now/send later)

I've expected that the send button has a popup-button (like the backward/forward
buttons, or the get msg button) with 2 options : 'send now' and 'send later'.
I'm using 'send later' a lot (even when online) to upload new mails in batches
(mailserver is too slow), but I'm using the menubar for that. A popup in the
toolbar would help.

Note that 'Send' turns into 'Send Later' when offline.

indeed, such a feature would be useful, as this action currently requires either
a (1) menu action  or (2) keyboard shortcut combination to send messages later.

Yes, this would be helpful.
Moreover, a Send-button in the _main_ mail-window would be
a real improvement:
not only "Get messages", but also "send all" and "exchange" 
like in Outlook would be a lot more comfortable and more
obvious for newbies.

adding to the enhancements described in this thread, i think it would be very
useful if you had an option to change the default action to "send later" even if
online (it was mentioned that "send now" becomes "send later" if offline).

this is a nice feature since you still have time to rethink after you've hit
send--it removes that sinking feeling you sometimes get when you hit send and
suddenly notice you hit reply-all instead of reply, or when you realize that you
shouldn't have phrased it quite the way you did.....

I would love for this to be fixed if it means the last selection is sticky. That's similar to how Netscape 3 works, and a big reason why 9 years later I'm still using it, always sending later, even if that means the very next pair of clicks after hitting the send button.

I think this will become obsolete in TB3 when messages will be sent in background by default. Are there similar plans for SM?

I agree that this option should be available - especially on a failure (Bug 82996) maybe a down-arrow on the right of the button (like for Get Mail) that allows Send Later 

I also agree last selection should be sticky.
