User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:11.0) Gecko/20120312 Firefox/11.0 SeaMonkey/2.8 (Nightly/Aurora) Build ID: 20120312220748 Steps to reproduce: I click on an emails in the inbox. Actual results: The first mails are ok: the content is shown. Scrolling down once an email only shows the header but no content. And all emails down the mail are empty. Expected results: The email content must be shown. My mail database is about 1,5 GB. A reduce ob about 350 MB of mails had no effect. The error is in all versions till Seamonkey 2.9.
Under "Edit → Mail & Newsgroup account settings" (as seen in the 3-pane menu), under "Disk space" for either "Local Folders" or the relevant account, have you set the radiobutton to delete messages either by age or by quantity?
Rainer: So you currently use an old SeaMonkey version because this version does not have the bug? Or did you just not update to a recent version because of other reasons?
