I'm aware that the /update page is going to be removed soon (bug 869937 comment 16), but given that some locales will localize this page is make sense to have links not pointing to en-US articles.
Sorry, I created a new PR since the previous one went bad when rebasing :-\ As someone made me notice on SUMO forums, we're also using outdated links, so that for locales there are 3 redirects, while en-US has 2 redirects and broken anchors.
Summary: Remove hard-coded en-US in links to SUMO in /firefox/update page → Remove hard-coded en-US and update links to SUMO in /firefox/update page
Commits pushed to master at https://github.com/mozilla/bedrock https://github.com/mozilla/bedrock/commit/a183fda235a68a0b0ea123e6e0abe1d1ee9452d9 Bug 893514 - Remove "en-US" and update SUMO links in /firefox/update 1. We shouldn't have en-US hard-coded in links to let the locale redirection work on SUMO 2. Links are out of date, so we end up having 3 redirects and broken anchors even on en-US https://github.com/mozilla/bedrock/commit/cdddef97f1608ccf8983e0c8f0403b3a1e5c9714 Merge pull request #1064 from flodolo/bug893514update Bug 893514 - Remove "en-US" and update SUMO links in /firefox/update
