Details

Nightly 25, OSX 10.8. The browser unexpectedly crashed and when I restarted, my tab groups were gone.
Only your tab groups were gone? Some tabs have been restored?
No, my tabs in the group that I had previously had active were gone too. Lost probably 100 tabs total :(
So what you're saying is that you lost your whole session, right?

I suppose so, I'm not familiar with the boundaries between these components. I submitted a crash report before the session was lost, if that helps.
Nick, have you seen this problem again in the past 1-2 years?
