Details

Mozilla uses A LOT of CPU time when running under Mac OS X. If you run"top" in the terminal you'll notice that Mozilla can 22% to 65% of CPU time while it's idle. While it's in the forground, iut's using between 55% to 85%. IE on the other hand uses between 0.3% to 2%. There is also a noticable performace drop too when tring to run other applications. And with classic running, it's absolutley painful. The machine I'm running had the following configuration: B & W G3 300Mhz 256Mb RAM 20Gb & 6GB drives All this while running: MySQL Tomcat 3.2.2 BBEdit 6.1.2 Finder IE 5.1.1 Jake Terminal Clock
