I haven't found any way to run mochitest-chrome on b2g,

I can't write extensive tests for apps with existing test frameworks running on b2g.
xpcshell tests are too limited as you can't have DOM scripting working.
mochitest plain are also not very well fited when you need chrome priviledges.

At the end we just miss very minimal changes...
Here is a way to make them work on b2g desktop.
We may try to set these prefs in runtest.py in order to avoid having a different codepath for b2g.

We mostly need some b2g specifics to ensure loading mochitest testURL into b2g content iframe.
(B2g ignores the URL being passed as argument to the process)

The redirect.html looks useless on it and more painfull to support than to bypass.
Otherwise, I had to move testURL computation before the call to buildProfile
in order to be able to set the two b2g prefs with the testURL.
But I had to still ensure calling makeTestConfig after the call to buildProfile...

With that patch, ./mach mochitest-plain and ./mach mochitest-chrome work both out of the box.

This looks harmless and simple.  Does this allow chrome:// URIs to be loaded from the network?  Do you have all the tests on the device?  Right now the tests are bundled in a .jar file and loaded up dynamically- is this .jar file on the device?  I didn't see any code that indicated changing that.

Hum this is now completely broken due to the switch to shell.html
The mochitest runner (the platform one, not the b2g specific one) depends on xul overlays to work/run...
