Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:25.0) Gecko/20130716 Firefox/25.0 (Nightly/Aurora)
Build ID: 20130716030202

Steps to reproduce:

Use the ctrl-a and ctrl-e Emacs-like keyboard shortcuts on OS X to move to the beginning and end of a line. Use the ctrl-k Emacs-like keyboard shortcut to delete the remainder of a line.

Actual results:

Nothing for all three.

Expected results:

Ctrl-a should have gone to the beginning of the paragraph; due to unfixed bug 433966, it would have, in previous builds, gone to the beginning of the line instead of acting like ctrl-a in all other OS X apps. Ctrl-e should have gone to the end of the paragraph (or, with aforementioned bug, line). Ctrl-k should have deleted the remainder of the paragraph (or, with aforementioned bug, line).

Ctrl-n/p and ctrl-b/f all work as they did before. This changed within the last week or two.

I just tested this again.

- Confirmed it with clean profile on a build compiled from http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/5e191a26d909 -- broken in both special text areas like Gmail and in normal textarea elements.

- But it's fixed on a build compiled from http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/3c61cc01a3b1.

That's a pretty big gap and I don't feel like bisecting, but something apparently happened. Anyway, I'll close the issue.
