Marketplace is still using the older metlog libraries.  We need to upgrade the client side to use heka-py instead, and ensure that CEF and Raven plugins are working correctly.

The heka 0.3 configuration needs to be written as well, as we're moving from logstash.

We can re-use most of the configuration from sync in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=889159

Any luck here? Do you know the release schedule of heka 0.4? Would it'd be worth waiting?

We're going to be changing the default wire protocol for heka clients to use protocol buffer and dropping the JSON encoding.

I'd like to wait until heka 0.4 lands - the new heka-node is finally up to par with the heka-py client when we hit the 0.4 release.
