Print preview on .eml files fails in some interesting ways. The preview window just shows a page with "about:blank" in the header, and it also fires the "open file" dialog. There's nothing in the error console.
My knowledge of how printing actually works in Gecko is slim to none, so I'm afraid I won't be much help here.

Just a note, this is still an issue on 38.0a1. Clearly not a major issue, but it'd be nice to fix this anyway...

I'm pretty sure it worked after bug 824909. Seems broken now (again) though. Originally this was probably bug 824909...

No idea. I can't open .eml files at all on Linux nightly.
