The website http://grooveshark.com seems to use Flash to play music. I have set my preferences to plugins.click_to_play=true, so every time I load a page with Flash, a little popup asks me if I want to enable the plugin on this page. Unfortunately, the popup doesn't appear on Grooveshark. I have the blue plugin icon at the left of URL bar, so I can click on it to enable plugin, but I think lots of users won't notice the icon and get a warning from Grooveshark saying Flash is disabled.
My bad, it isn't related to click_to_play but to the default flash behavior, set via about:addons / plugins. I use "Ask to activate", which ask me on every page. But on Grooveshark, I'm not asked son I suppose the way flash is used on the page trigger the plugin icon but not the activate dialog.
Summary: Bad experience on http://grooveshark.com with plugins.click_to_play=true → Bad experience on http://grooveshark.com when the default behavior for Flash is "click to activate"
After the recent changes you should only get the click-to-play doorhanger (popup) showing when you: * click the plugin icon in the URL/nav bar * click a plugin placeholder/overlay in the page So the behavior on Grooveshark is expected. On what sites are you still seeing the click-to-play popup/doorhanger automatically showing?

You're right, the doorhanger is only shown when I click on the video to play them. I'm so used to click on the video player that I thought it was automatically. So on websites that use hidden flash player, the only way to activate the player is ton notice the plugin icon and click on it. I suppose that people using "Ask to activate" will understand this behavior.

So the behavior looks to working like intended.
