From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC; en-US; rv:0.9.2) Gecko/20010629 BuildID: 2001062823 There are no numbers displayed for messages in folders (read/unread). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Call up Mail task. Actual Results: 1. Numbers of read/unread messages are not displayed. Expected Results: Numbers of read/unread messages in folders should be displayed next to folders. (On Netscape, additionally, a toggle switch permits hiding these numbers if desired.)
I can get the folders to display their unread contents (in bold, within parentheses) when I click on folders. They do not display the number of unread folders automatically until I do so, however. A minor bug.

Reporter, the unread/read totals are displayed in the lower-right-hand corner of the Mail/ News window, just to the left of the on/offline, security lock, and window-resizing widgets.. Marking this bug WORKSFORME.
