using 2001.07.09.04-branch comm bits on linux, but my hunch is that this'd be xp
anyway...

1. click on a link for which there's *no* user-defined mimetype, nor an
OS-defined mimetype. eg, i clicked on
http://jrgm.mcom.com/bugs/mimetypes/sample.wav
2. in the resulting helper app dialog, deselect [uncheck] the checkbox for
"always ask before opening this type of file". on linux, the radiobutton will be
set to "save to disk" --this is fine.
3. click OK, choose a place to save the file, and save it.
4. open up the Prefs dialog and go to the Helper Applications panel.

observation: there's no type listed for .wav files.

i'm not sure whether this is expected behavior. if it is, i might change this to
an enhancement request, as it'd be useful for users to see in the pref panel
that mozilla/n6.x is handling .wav files by merely listing it there. would this
be do-able?

then again, what i'm seeing now might be partially moot once bug 88435 is fixed,
since users will then be able to clear out the prefs for non-remembered types.
still, it could be useful to at least display the types...
