Similar to what Android does, when you set a passcode you should be able to link your phone with a Persona account. This way, you'd be able to reset your passcode without wiping your phone, should you forget it.
Adding to backlog as a new feature.
This is a system front-end feature AFAIK.
Gregor, Please help to triage this one for v1.3.
Jed, is this planned for 1.3?
I think what you're describing is on page 12 of these wireframes for Where's My Fox: https://bug938896.bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=832630 Where's My Fox is scheduled for b2g 1.4. There is actually no such thing as a "Persona account"; Persona is a sign-in service only. But we still do want an accounts system for a variety of purposes. Thus Firefox Accounts will also be landing in b2g 1.4. It will provide both sign-in and an accounts system for identity-attached services like Wheres My Fox, Marketplace, and Sync. More info: - Wheres My Fox: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Services/WheresMyFox - Firefox Accounts: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Identity/Firefox-Accounts - b2g tracker: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=920135
Both of these projects are uh, dead, so I'm gonna close this.
