Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.2) Gecko/20010702 BuildID: 2001070209 Sometimes on RH 6.2/Enlightenment mozilla will raise a window, apparently as a result of loading a page. This seems to have become less frequent in the current build than in previous 9.x builds (?) but I have noticed it happening again anyway. I am unable to consistently reproduce it. In previous versions this was such an irritant that I avoided loading certain (auto refreshing) pages in mozilla and I am hopeful this will no longer be the case. Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce Steps to Reproduce: 1.Page loads, window raises. (?) 2. 3. Actual Results: Window raises itself. Expected Results: Window should stay put on its current layer, unless perhaps this is a user-selectable preference. I certainly don't prefer it. See Bug 88810. I concur WHOLEHEARTEDLY with the sentiment expressed there (the idiotic modal Netscape dialogs on the Mac that tie up the browser/machine just to report a page couldn't be loaded because the DSL modem / T-1 / whatever hiccuped), but this issue seems to be something a bit different.
I believe it still is a dup of bug 88810.
OK. This maybe is not a dup of bug 88810, but then it is a dup of the more general bug 77675 ("Windows steal focus from each other when page starts loading") - 88810 is an offspring of 77675. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 77675 ***
