I would like a small tooltip to appear when I hover the mouse over a object with
an ALT text defined for it.
Just like IE does it.

Some sites base some parts (or all) their navigation on this feature (which is
bad design btw) so this makes theese sites more useable.
It is a nice feature in general too.

The 'alt' attribute should not be displayed as a tooltip, that is what the
'title' attribute is for. See bug 1995  and bug 1994 .
