The a10n twistd app does not obey the default kill signal, which makes it very unfriendly to things like startup/shutdown scripts, which we need to deploy and manage it :)

It does log:
2013-08-09 22:32:25-0500 [-] Received SIGTERM, shutting down.
But does not terminate, at least within a minute or two, in my Centos 6 VM.

'kill' is the standard way to shut them down, at least when they're daemonized. Do you start it with '-n'? That should only be done for interactive debug setups.
