RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 873734

People

(Reporter: donrhummy, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:23.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/23.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20130730113002

Steps to reproduce:

Updated to Firefox 23 and this removed the ability to have a different search engine in the address bar and search box (I previously had DuckDuckGo in teh address bar and Google in the search box).

I tried adding (in about:config) "keyword.URL=https://duckduckgo.com/?q=" but this does nothing.

Actual results:

Whatever search engine is the default for the search box is forced as the search engine in the address bar even if "keyword.enabled=true" and the "keyword.URL" is set.

Expected results:

I should have a different search engine for the address bar.
