From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux 2.4.5 i686; en-US; rv:0.9.1) Gecko/20010607 BuildID: 2001060713 i sent two bug reports via the automatic bug reporting facility that's in mozilla. i just wanted to let you all know that i was able to fix the crashes. i didn't install the ancillary programs required by plugger 3.3, like xanim, etc... once i installed them, mozilla didn't crash anymore. i still can't view the quicktime thing i was trying to, but i'm guessing that's the plugin's fault. sorry for wasting your time. regards, t Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.install plugger 3.3 2.don't read the instructions and don't install xanim 3.go to http://www.spaceref.com/news/viewsr.html?pid3128 Actual Results: mozilla crashes Expected Results: although i did screw up installing it properly, maybe having netscape handle the problem and come back with something saying "plug-in is hosed!" once again.. lovin mozilla.. you all are doing an excellent job

This is sort of an obscure bug. Marking as a dupe of 36272 - "RFE: Crash (SIGSEGV) in plugin code should be catched..." which is essentially asking for the same thing. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 36272 ***
