 The lookup towards Contacts does in other words not seem to work in the email application.

 Even though the contacts are showing when typing a name in an SMS, nothing shows up in the email application. The lookup towards Contacts does in other words not seem to work in the email application->KO

 It should work well in the email application.

This is not a v1.1 feature.  There may be some confusion because the original v1.0 wire-frames called for auto-completion, but it was removed.  Duping to enhancement request bug 798711.
