Steps to reproduce:

Clicked on metro icon to start Nightly in metro mode.


Actual results:

Nightly screen shows, stays there for a few seconds and then get you back on start screen.


Expected results:

I expected that nightly should start normally in metro mode.

Type about:crashes in the location bar of desktop Firefox and provide some crash IDs (bp-...).

I found the following version of 26.0a1 with working metro:

http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2013-08-06-10-45-38-mozilla-central/firefox-26.0a1.en-US.win32.installer.exe

So someone should look to see what changed in the nightly after 8-6-13.

Long time Firefox user but trying to get the latest nightly build working on a new Windows 8 Pro Latitude 10 tablet and the firefox-26.0a1 build will not work in 'Metro' mode despite me setting it as default, disabling extensions etc :-(

Standard desktop mode works fine but as soon as I try to launch 'Metro' Firefox it fires up but crashes out before loading (less than 1 second) as per this bug. I haven't tried any other nightly builds and as this same one works fine in 'metro' mode on my desktop so i'm guessing it's something to do with the Atom Z7260 / Intel integrated graphics?

Sorry, should have duped this once I found the cause. See bug 904214. We added some gfx code that blows up on some devices.
