The option to make the tabs bar "disappear" is GONE ... an it looks like it was done ON PURPOSE. Now Firefox is even more like Chrome ... and if I wanted Chrome I would not have downloaded Firefox 23.0 !

People

(Reporter: robert_n_richer, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:21.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/21.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20130511120803

Steps to reproduce:

Checked release notes and some "genious" made mandatory space-wasting wasting tabs when only one tab is open a FEATURE ! It's a bad Chrome-like "Feature" !

Actual results:

Decided toi file a "bug report" since one of Firefox's BEST features was TAKEN AWAY.

Expected results:

Put the check box to turn off tabs back the way it was in 22.x AND EARLIER VERSIONS.

Agree that this was a "duplicate" bug and VERY disappointed that the developers have decided not to fix their mistake in their design direction. I assume that next they will remove the setting "Open new windows in a tab instead" so that all new windows open in tabs ? And it seems that "complaints" to get traditional functionality that has worked well for years.are somehow MY fauilt ? Last comment on this bug @.
