The Droid Pro has a hardware keyboard. Tapping the urlbar when the keyboard is closed should show a software. The native ui awesomebar doesn't seem to show the software keyboard unless I tap it twice (that same bug is in release firefox as well).
Also, tapping the urlbar to enter editing mode and then hitting back (while the software keyboard ISN'T showing), just defocuses the textbox. You have to hit back twice to return to the webpage. That bug isn't reproducible on the current nightly about:home.

Mike said he'd work on this. I'd say it pretty low priority though.

AFAIK, this is the (new) intended behaviour for the new UI. ibarlow?

That's correct.
Just to be clear, though, the first part of Wes's summary -- where tapping the URL bar doesn't bring up the keyboard -- does sound like a bug.

Comment 1 suggests this is low priority and there's a workaround (tap twice) so this isn't a release blocker but please nominate a low risk fix for uplift if ready and tested in the next couple of weeks.

I don't have a Droid Pro. Is this still reproducible, Wes?

Are you sure that this device is a Droid Pro? The Pro is a Blackberry like device with a keyboard that is always exposed.
