Details
Firefox has the status bar as a customization target in 3.x, where you can place extra buttons that won't fit on top. SeaMonkey should implement this behavior.

Why do you think we should do this? What's the use case? If I'm correct when Australis lands, Firefox won't have an addons bar (Or anything bar at all) at the bottom.
Component: General → UI Design
Well, removing the status/Add-on bar is a complete and total mistake on Mozilla's part. So that should not affect SeaMonkey's development, as SeaMonkey should ignore the bad decisions that Mozilla makes to decide to ruin their browser and it's flexibility.
In Firefox, I use it to put the buttons that won't fit on the other toolbars. But with SeaMonkey, there are many different toolbars to choose from. So I will probably have plenty of space anyway as it is (if I make good decisions on where to place buttons).
