Phone hangs are one of our top support issues for B2G. I'd like to help solve this by adding an external process which monitors the b2g and app processes and kills them if they are not responsive. Many details to be worked out, like what "responsive" means and making sure that we don't do unnecessary wakeups and drain the battery.
Do we need an external process? Are we not catching app process hangs from the b2g process itself? Can we use the chromehang code to catch b2g process hangs?
