Details

Problem ------ While composing a new message, if the cursor is positioned at the end of an existing line, either by hitting the "End" key or by a mouse click to the right of the end of the line, then the "Left Arrow" key won't work to move the cursor backwards on the line. (If the cursor is positioned at the end of the line by use of the "Right Arrow" key, the "Left Arrow" key works normally.) Test Procedure: ----------- 1. Execute Mozilla Mail 2. Click on Message > New Message 3. Type any 3 short lines of text, each terminated by hitting the "Enter" key. 4. Position the cursor somewhere toward the center of the 2nd line by clicking there with the mouse. 5. Run the cursor to the end of the line with the "Right Arrow" key. 6. Use the "Left Arrow" key to move the cursor back to the approximate center of the line. (It should work). 7. Hit the "End" key to again position the cursor at the end of the line. 8. Use the "Left Arrow" key to attempt to move the cursor back to the approximate center of the line. (It should fail.) Component: Mozilla Mail i686 version 0.9.2 build 2001062823. System: PC with Pentium II - 450 MHz, 128M RAM. O/S: RedHat 6.2 with kernel 2.2.18. GNOME 1.4.0-Ximian w/ Enlightenment WM.
