gwagner gave me a ZTE Open to dogfood for the next month. Upon first launch, I was told that there were 7 updates available, i.e., 6 app updates and a system update. The app updates appear to have installed successfully, but the system update didn't work. A little bit of sleuthing showed that the .mar URL, <http://firefox.ztems.com/prerelease/packages/roamer2/18.0/20130724040538/update.mar>, was a 404 on their end.

We should figure out why we're offering this update and/or why it's a 404.

ivan, please check with ZTE on why they are offering system updates that are 404'ing.  according to the mar, it seems its still 1.0.1 directory.

I already sent the email to ZTE for them to check this issue. According to the build info, it seems to be the open market phone from US eBay. I check with them if there is something wrong with the FOTA server. It should not have any system update for any 1.0.1 ZTE Open so far.

Partner just replied to me that the issue of system update is fixed on their FOTA server for open market phone. The root cause is they put a fake FOTA package (.mar and .xml) for test but forgot to remove .xml after the test. That's why it causes 404 error on .mar file.

Yes, this is a phone from US eBay.
