Details

I've got Flash 11.8.800.94 installed on OS X, but Firefox claims it's disabled for my protection. It's been this way for at least a week.
Oh, and I should say that I'm on Firefox stable (23.0.1).
Can I have the contents of your about:plugins and also the link that the addon manager has for the blocklist?

In the addon manager UI for Flash, it should say something like "Flash is known to be vulnerable. Use with caution. <More Information>". I'd like to know what URL that "More Information" link takes you to.

That's about:plugins, not the addon manager.

Looks like it's only Mac OS issue, works as expected on Windows 7 x64.

Is Flash actually disabled? What does the UI look like which says that Flash is disabled for your protection?

No results, sadly. However, these prefs are set: plugin.blocklisted.flash;true plugin.blocklisted.quicktime plugin;true plugin.blocklisted.silverlight;true I have no idea why or by what, but this is a relatively new profile.
Hrm. We used to do a complicated dance to keep those .blocklisted prefs in sync with the actual blocklist service. We have fortunately ripped all that code out in FF24, and this shouldn't reoccur. You can work around the issue for now by upgrading to beta or resetting those prefs.
