The issue is reproducible ever since the Reset Notification was added in Bug 498181.

Hello Simona,
Before step 7, could you attach the profiles.ini file from the directory above the profile directory and attach it here. I suspect that the profile you're using is not the default one during this process and therefore reset is not supported.

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:48.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/48.0

Ubuntu 14.04.
Hello Matt,
Sorry for taking me so long to answer to your question, I've been away for a while :).
I'm still able to reproduce the issue, as stated in the Description. Please note that before testing this scenario again, I previously deleted all my Firefox profiles. If I start Firefox through the terminal, the reset notification is not displayed. If I delete all my profiles and I start Firefox by clicking directly on the icon then the Reset Notification is displayed.

Closing this as Resolved Worksforme since I can no longer reproduce the issue, tried using Nightly 127.0a1 on Ubuntu 22.04 - the Refresh notification is now displayed in step 7.
