Figured I'd file this, even though I have zero info for it. Current Mac 10.8, current Nightly. Switch away from Nightly with Cmd-Tab. Switch back. Cursor is now invisible (hover still fires, click works, just invisible *for the entire OS*). Switch to another app and it comes back. Mouse over the dock and it comes back. Sometimes a page load will make it come back. Nothing in any console.
Is this still an issue ?

Curiously, I see this very frequently with Thunderbird (Beta). Occurs in the middle of using it. Pure speculation, but I wonder if bug 411273 might have somehow caused it. The only cursor changes Thunderbird does are for changing to the hand-icon on links, and showing the busy state when network stuff is happening. We got rid of a lot of the busy-pointer stuff long ago in Firefox because it made things feel janky, but TB still uses it extensively. (Some websites, notably Facebook, still set this cursor state.)

Mac OS X itself has longstanding intermittent issues with the cursor not changing shape when it should. So does (or perhaps did) Firefox when moving the mouse outside of a plugin. It's possible to programmatically make the cursor disappear. There's no point in speculating here until/unless we get good STR for some particular case of this problem.
Hmm, I see this too quite a bit on Daily. I can't say I've noticed it until a few weeks ago, so it seems it's gotten worse. Unfortunately I still can't figure out the trigger. I will however try to nail it down in the future.
It seems the issue still persists on Firefox 45.0.1 OS X El Capitan.
This WFM with latest Nightly 49.0a1, 20160601030219 on Mac 10.11.2. If anyone still sees this please try to provide reliable steps to reproduce.
