Reproducible on Firefox 25 and 26, on multiple OSs. Introduced with the "Migrate windows and tabs when resetting Firefox" feature (bug 833943). STR: 1. Launch Firefox and open several websites in new tabs. 2. Go to about:support and click the "Reset Firefox" button. 3. With the about:welcomeback page still open, reset Firefox again. Expected Results: After the second reset, about:welcomeback contains about:welcomeback. When the user restores it, it contains the pages from before. Actual Results: After the second reset, about:welcomeback contains "Window 1" with no elements. When clicking "Restore", Firefox is closed. When reopening Firefox, it opens on about:home and it gives you the option to restore the previous session, i.e. the flawed about:welcomeback page.
OK, with these steps I understand why this happens. I think if we were to fix this, we should fix it either so that we don't have any content for about:welcomeback to restore at all, or that it contains the same content as the previous about:welcomeback. It wouldn't make sense to me for the user to have to click through multiple about:welcomeback pages to get back to their actual open windows/tabs.

The issue is no longer reproducible with the latest Firefox 124.0.1 build on Windows10 x64, macOS 13 ARM and Ubuntu 22.04 . Therefore, I am closing it as WFM.
