Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.2) Gecko/20010628 BuildID: 2001062823 if your listening to music in xmms mozilla won't start until you hit the stop button, mozilla window will open, and you can then resume playing the music. This bug is reproducible always and may or may not have something to do with the plugins. I imagine that what is happening is that mozilla or one of it's plugins is probing the sound device and since it's busy it just sits there waiting until it opens up, and after it does it says, oh ok, hi, that's all I needed. The correct action should be that if mozilla see's that the sound device is busy, maybe report it, but not hang there waiting for it to open up. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.play music in xmms, (or any other program that eats up the sound device 2.try to start mozilla 3.the mozilla window won't open until you stop the music, (or it'll take forever to time out and open anyway, like 3-5 minutes or something like that. Actual Results: mozilla window wouldn't open, or at least would take forever unless you stop the music. Expected Results: mozilla window would open up regardless of the sound device being utilized by another program or not, or at least a reasonable timeout, possably a requester that lets the user know that the sound device isn't available, but not necissarily.
