My test page generating all four built-in OscillatorNode types runs at ~ 1/10 realtime on desktop if I ask for 1 Hz output. That's too low a frequency to be audible, but not inconceivable for a control signal. Chrome produces (much lower quality) output at a more reasonable rate.
Except there's nothing frequency-dependent in the generation? Maybe I'm just measuring graphing performance.
I think this was just my debug build being slow to render the graph.
