Sometimes (in fact, so far, every time) we need the folders in the quicklinks or zone navigation boxes to actually be visitable links. For example, see https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Project:MDN/Contributing -- there's no way in the zone nav to get to the "Plans" page or the "MDN tools and utilities" page.
The same applies to quicklinks; often the "folders" are actual pages with important content on them, and the links need to work.
Can we figure out a solution to this?
This is extra relevant if we're looking at trying to let the zone nav really become a major part of how you get around within a zone. Parts of the content are inaccessible in that scenario, right now.

I thought I've filed a bug like this for quicklinks, but can't find it. But yes, this is important.

What I've always seen and done is make the first sub-item of the handle a link to the same location. For example, if the main link is "Geolocation", the first sub-item would be "Geolocation Overview" or "Basic Geolocation". The only other solution is making the toggler the arrow and that's not logical or usable -- people expect the item item to be toggleable.
