Apologies. I'm not really familiar with what should or shouldn't be available with respect to International features, but I noticed this in the course of looking at another bug. With the 2001-07-21-06-0.9.2 branch build, or 2001-07-20-05-trunk build, on a Windows 98 system that does not have Japanese fonts installed, if I go to http://www.jp.aol.com/, a dialog will come up that says: ---------------------------------------------------- To display language characters correctly, you need to download and install the following components Japanese text display [Download font] [Cancel] ---------------------------------------------------- Ok, that's good. The problem is that with 2001-07-21-06-0.9.2 branch build, or 2001-07-20-05-trunk, on my Windows 2000 system that does not have Japanese fonts installed, instead what happens is that there is the brief flash of a dialog coming up, and then it immediately disappears. I assume that is _not_ good. This is supposed to be available on win2k, yes? Is this needed for rtm? [If not, then we should not even be flashing that brief window].
