From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.2) Gecko/20010628 BuildID: 2001062823 Retrieving mail from Microsoft Exchange server with Mozilla 0.9.2 on LINUX using IMAP results in failure wiht message "Invalid message set in FETCH command" from IMAP server. First attempt to access after starting Mozilla succeeds. Closing mail window, but leaving other Mozilla windows up results in regular appearances of message box titled "Alert", with contents of: 'The current command did not succeed. The mail server responded: Protocol Error: "Invalid message set in FETCH command".' Closing all Mozilla windows and restarting enables mail to function again. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Configure Mozilla to use MS Exchange IMAP server 2. Access mail. 3. Wait for failure....
Repeated with build 2001072305....
At http://www.mozilla.org/quality/mailnews/mail-troubleshoot.html#imap you'll find instructions for generating an imap log. If you could do this then click on one of the messages that causes you to see this error, then quit the app and send us the log file, it would help us track down your problem. (how's that for a run on sentence) Thanks!
Just to clarify, it is not any particular message that causes this problem. In fact, the mail window is not even open at this point.
Here's the problem line: 16 UID fetch -1-1-1 (UID RFC822.SIZE FLAGS BODY.PEEK[HEADER.FIELDS (From To Cc Subject Date Message-ID Priority X-Priority References Newsgroups)]) 16 BAD Protocol Error: "Invalid message set in FETCH command" we're sending an id of -1-1-1 cc'ing bienvenu as well
do you have two clients accessing the account on the exchange server at the same time? That would cause this (there's an existing bug about that)
Yes, there are multiple clients accessing the same account simultaneously. What is the existing bug number?
