User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/24.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20130911164256 Steps to reproduce: I try to open a mp4/h264 video with my sony xperia go / JellyBean 4.1 android mobile. a) http://www.quirksmode.org/html5/tests/video.html b) http://youtube.com/html5 Actual results: a) The MP4/h264 video is not selectable, showing a message that mp4/h264 is not available: 'No video with supported format and MIME type found.' The webm or ogg/theora videos play well. b) 'What does my browser support', says 'no h264' Expected results: Tested with both chrome/android and firefox/linux+gstreamer: a) all videos are playable b) 'What does my browser support', say 'h264 enabled'
What version of Firefox? Would you please test the Android Nightly, https://nightly.mozilla.org
Flags: needinfo?(Heiko.Klein)
On Firefox 24 we blocked Sony Xperia devices on Jellybean due to video playback crashes (see bug 845734). Please confirm that Nightly (http://nightly.mozilla.org) or Aurora (http://aurora.mozilla.org) for Android is working for you in this regard where we have resolved the situation.
Nightly works in both test-cases with the Sony Xperia Go (ST27i). Thanks.
