To verify the patch I have downloaded the linux installer and dropped the mips
dist/bin/mozilla-installer-bin over the i686 binary.
This downloaded the xpi files correctly, however it was unable to install
mozilla; I presume due to the xpi files being i686?

Thanks for the patch!
Yes, the install would fail because of binary incompatibility. Once the .xpi
files are downloaded the first xpcom.xpi is expanded and used as the install
engine for the rest. Once at that point you'd need IRIX bits to proceed.

Reassigning to syd for unix installer issues.
Is the first patch really the right thing? rather than multiple ugly #ifdef
IRIX sections does the lack of socklen_t mean there's a missing #include on
IRIX? Or could we typedef the equivalence once at the top instead?

I can not find an IRIX system header with socklen_t in it, however you are
right, I should have used the typedef already in place for Win/Solaris.

I'll try to get the required sr= for this and get it in.

Seems like this has all the reviews it needs. Can you mark this in the
attachment section and change keyword to nsbranch+? After that, send an email
to pdt2@netscape.com so we can discuss this for possible eMojo branch checkin.

Cindy, I wonder if we need this on the branch?
Would the trunk suffice for the Irix platform support?

How this got nominated nsbranch is mystifying. nsbranch-
