Attached image inverted gamma example
1. Disable Direct2d/DirectWrite in FF or use Windows XP
2. Make sure ClearType is enabled and system gamma is set to 2200 (with lower gamma it is not as visible, but the problem is still there)
3. Visit a website which uses light-on-dark text with CSS filters and see the text is color-fringed and off
(example is http://answers.yahoo.com/ , scroll down and see the text on the top)
Another example is the Firefox PDF viewer interface.
(Note: To see the attachment correctly, your display gamma must actually be 2.2, like mine.)
Seems to be a dupe of bug #363861; why is that one marked fixed
