restoring firefox causes lost of personal data

Steps to reproduce:
after a firefox suggestion, I clicked the menu to "Restore firefox", as it said that firefox seemed to be slow.
Actual results:
I lost all my greasemonkey scripts, my homepage was reseted, I mean, it said that the personal data would be kept BUT deleted many of them !!!
Expected results:
change only internal settings WITHOUT touching homepage, extension data (as greasemonkey scripts) etc
Add-ons and prefs are lost after a reset, it'w written in the FAQ.
