User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.8; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/24.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20130910160258
Steps to reproduce:
1. Let someone call you
2. While the phone is ringing press the home button, for me this often happens accidentally when I try to swipe up
Or see this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqF9ED3YXo0
Actual results:
Unlock layer shows up and you can unlock the phone, the phone is still ringing but you can't answer it because there is no UI visible to answer the phone. The only way is to wait until the caller gives up and then call them back if they left their number.
Expected results:
(Accidentally) pressing the home button while the phone is ringing shouldn't do anything or reveal the "answer or deny call" view but not the unlock view because this makes the usage of the phone quite odd.
I've been using my FxOS phone for 4 months as my main phone and never understood why I sometimes got the unlock view so I couldn't answer the calls quite often.
UI for the answering of the phone call has changed in 1.3/1.2 from 1.0.1; having said that, 1.1 still has the bouncing answer overlay.
The UI after hitting the home is annoying in 1.3/1.2 as well and not very user friendly.
In 1.3 if you tap on the home, you have to unlock then tap on the notification and then slide to answer the phone in an unlock fashion. It should be easier to answer the phone.
This is a problem for me as well. It is now *possible* to answer the phone by tapping on the blue bar at the top of the screen, but that took me a few tries to figure out, and I've ended up failing to answer calls a number of times before I figured that out by doing experiments calling my cell phone from the office.
And it's pretty common for me to accidentally tap on the home button while pulling the phone out of my pocket.
I think there's a relatively straightforward solution here: the home button simply shouldn't do anything when the callscreen is showing an incoming phone call (at least when the phone is locked, and possibly also when it's unlocked). The only things that should work are the gestures for answering or rejecting the phone call.d
